It is easy and gives "rich" and delicious raisin bread that becomes even sweeter with the caramel coating and syrupy because we pour the cream at the end. Of course, they are also eaten as they are ... However, the recipe is not suitable if you are on a diet !!!
Recipe ingredients
- 220 gr. flour for all uses
- 220 gr. soft butter
- 220 gr. raisins blonde or black
- 150 gr. sugar
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 4 eggs
For the caramel garnish
- 70 gr. butter
- 70 gr. sugar
- 400 gr. whipping cream
Recipe execution
First, preheat your oven to 220 degrees.
In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder.
Put the butter with the sugar in the bowl of the mixer and let it beat until the mixture swells.
Add the eggs one by one and little by little the flour with the baking powder while the mixer mixes the mixture.
Now, add our raisins to the raisin mixture.
Once the mixture is well mixed, stop stirring.
Divide the dough into individual forms that we have buttered.
Put the raisin bread in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes at 200 degrees.
Instead of waiting for them to be eaten hot (see photo), we prepare the garnish.
Divide the sour cream in half. Half of it will go into the caramel and with the rest we will garnish the raisin bread.
Heat the sugar, butter and half the cream in a saucepan. Stir well until all the sugar has melted.
Let the garnish boil for 5 minutes and thicken, stirring so that it doesn't stick to the pot.
Beat the rest of the sour cream in a bowl to rise.
We are ready. Take the individual raisin bread out of their molds and put them on plates. Garnish with the sour cream and pour over the caramel!
Enjoy! Keep any raisin bread aside, because they will be amazing ...
