Croque-monsieur (mixtoa)

Marcel Proust himself also mentions this warm sandwich: "On the way out of the concert, on the way to the hotel, my grandmother and I made a stop at the end of the pier to make an appointment with Mrs. Villeparisis, who told us that she had asked us for some croque-monsieur and cream eggs." . You’re not going to be less than Proust, are you?

Ingredients:

  • Two loaves of bread in the mold
  • A slice of cooked ham
  • A slice of melted cheese (preferably emmental or similar)
  • A little butter

Recipe:

  1. It is best to make the pan with a little spread of butter, but, like us, if you don’t have a plate, rub the bottom of the pan with the butter and put on medium heat.
  2. Once heated and before the butter begins to darken, place a slice of bread in it and add the cheese and ham slices with the second slice of bread.
  3. Leave for about five minutes until the bread is toasted to your liking.
  4. Do the same by flipping it to the other side, once a little butter is added to the bottom.
  5. When it has taken on the color you like, take it out on a plate and cut it diagonally in half.

Case!

We ’ve put only one krokmesié here for you, but you’ll also easily eat a couple. This c roque-monsieur sandwich supports many variables , instead of a single slice, you can put even more, for example. It can also be eaten cold… The arugula salad comes in handy. A, and if you want to eat a croque-madame , add an egg on top and nothing else.
